I didn't start Costa Rica Dann because I wanted to drive people around. I started it because I wanted to share what I love: this country, its roads, its hidden corners, and the warmth that makes every journey unforgettable.

WHERE WE COME FROM

I've driven these roads hundreds of times, with families, with couples, with solo travelers who arrived as strangers and left as friends. And what I've learned is that people don't remember the destination. They remember how they felt getting there. That's what Costa Rica Dann was built around.

We started with one vehicle and one promise: to make every person who visits Costa Rica feel like they have a local friend, not a service provider. Someone who anticipates what you need before you ask, who knows the road and the stories behind it.

"We don't move people. We accompany stories. Each journey is an opportunity to share what Costa Rica really is."

Today, our team carries that same philosophy in every transfer, every journey, every smile at the airport. The face might change, but the warmth never does.

01 What does "pura vida" actually mean to you, not the tourist version?

"To me, 'pura vida' is a lot like 'hakuna matata.' But for us Costa Ricans it's really a piece of slang we use for almost anything. The main idea is to always let everyone know just how happy and chill we are."
02 What's your favorite road in Costa Rica and why?

"Uff, there are so many roads I love. Route 32 is the only one in Costa Rica that runs straight through a national park. But I also love cruising through Naranjo and Zarcero, with all those scenic valleys and cows grazing in the green fields. Honestly, I could tell you something good about almost every road in this country."
03 If you could take any guest anywhere in Costa Rica for one day, where would you go?

"I always love taking guests to La Fortuna. It's my hometown, but that's not the reason. It's simply the place to see wildlife, try some extreme activities, relax in a hot spring, and take in a perfect cone-shaped volcano."
04 What makes a trip truly unforgettable, in your opinion?

"Costa Rica alone will make your trip unforgettable, but at CRD our main purpose is to show you who we really are: our culture, our lifestyle, our cuisine…"
05 Has a guest ever surprised you? What happened?

"Yes, all the time. Thank God, I always get the most wonderful guests. They're always bringing gifts for my daughter or my wife, they've invited us to visit them at their homes, and real friendships are always built along the way."
